Optimum Compound is an aggressive compound designed to remove deeper scratches and imperfections, yet is easy to work with and creates an awesome shine with very limited or no swirls. You will not see a haziness, cloudiness, or excessive dusting that many compounds leave behind. You are left with a great shine without the major swirls or the haze most compounds create! Optimum Compound can be used with a wool or foam pad and at any speed on the buffer. It can remove 1200 grit sand scratch marks while still performing like a polish.
Directions for use:
When using a wool buffing pad, the compound will remove 1200 sand scratches and lighter at 1000-1400 RPM. Faster buffing speed is not needed with this product. When using a medium or heavy cut foam pad, the compound will remove 1500 sand scratches and lighter at 1000-1400 RPM. A final finishing foam pad is generally not recommended with a compound product. To remove lighter scratches and swirl marks, spray Optimum Hyper™ Compound on an orange foam pad using a rotary buffer at speeds of 1,200 – 1,400 rpm or an orbital polisher at the speed 5.

Just like automotive paint which has undergone major changes in technology, automotive leather and vinyl surfaces have also improved considerably in the past decade. Nearly all automotive leather surfaces are treated with special chemicals that provide resistance to scratching and marring, increase their durability, and provide protection from weathering.
